Looking over Joystiq's final word on the Fall Update, and seeing that clans are still nowhere to be found, it seems as though the Friends of Friends option could be used to gin up a somewhat functional compromise.
By creating a new Silver Account on your own box named (Let's Say) Team Inferno, and and using this new dummy account's hundred-man friend's list as your clan roster, you can with a single invite get access to a well-groomed list of guys that is essentially tuned for this purpose. It's not perfect, it's not complete, and without Group Voice Chat it's even less so. But it's something I could see myself using.
| Is it something we should check out? | |

I know I spent some time last night trying to add new people to my friends list from PGL. I know there are more than a hundred people here but maybe if there were a way to break it down by game or something. Lots of people play Halo 3 but not COD4. I on the other hand traded Halo 3 for COD4.

But I sent a FR anyway. | |

I'm not sure I understand the logistics. I mean, you can certainly reach people this way who aren't normally on your friends list. But aren't mostly the same people going to end up on that list too? Plus, if D' isn't on a noob's FL, they can't get the info, right?
What do you guys think of a master PGL list... say you split the alphabet into 5 groups (A-E, F-J, K-O, etc.), then allowed people to send FR's to the appropriate list. Then you'd have a catalog with up to 500 names on it, all PGLers.
The current leadderboard has about 93 names on it. There are many who have slipped off the list but show up from time to time. As the site grows, a single 100-name list won't hold everyone.
Thoughts? | |

Friends of PGL
PGL Associates
PGL Clems
PGL etc.... and
Etc of PGL... | |

get what im saying at all?

But I sent a FR anyway. | I will never allow myself to have a GT on my box that has characters surrounding the name, so someone else would've had to do that one.
I just figured this could be an easy way for first-time PGLers to shoot out some FRs to other people, as well as a way to condense everyone's friend-load. I sent out a few FRs to OGs, but I'm gonna let everyone send one to the account itself.

But he's not on your FL. If they were organized alphabetically you'd immediately know how to find him (PGL List A-E). Under the above system you'd have to search varying lists until you found him.
I still don't get it though. If I'm holding the list, you still have to be my friend directly to have the list, right?
