Northern California Day in the Bay - 5/6/07

Hey PGL'ers! I know there are a bunch of us who live near San Francisco, so how about a hang-out day?

Here is what I am thinking:

5/6/2007
San Francisco, CA

11:30 to 1:00 meet & greet lunch
1:00 to 7:00 tourist crap of unknown nature
7:00 to 9:30 dinner and drinks
9:30 - ? Concert at Bottom of the Hill featuring Joseph Arthur & Stars of Track & Field (all ages)

Anyone down for some or all of this? I think it would be cool to hang out for the day and meet each other in person. If anyone has any ideas what to do (Alcatraz, Zoo, ocean, whatever) feel free to share them.

I'm am definitely a no go for this, Serren. Wife's due date is 5/10 so any time around that area is off limits. My wife loves the bay area, so hopefully we could possibly attend the next time!

I'm a no go too. I have a fraternity alumni meeting and want to go to the National Model Railraod Assocation's regional conference that weekend.

I like the idea though. Maybe one or two weeks following that date would be cool. Sunday's usually work best for me.

Aren't Rhino, Goatmother and Pickle up in your area? That would be awesome. I wish I could jet up there real quick like and hang!

Well I am going anyway! I have an offer on some sweet Giants tickets on that day. Maybe I'll see Barry break the record...

So if only one other person wants to go, and I get those tickets, a 5:05 game vs Phili, then we could catch the game. AT&T park, or whatever they are calling it is a sweet venue.

If more then two go, maybe we could still hit the game... I don't know. :-)

Move it a week or two and I would be there in a min... As long as I can crash at your place, and you pick me up at the airport... Got to do it on the cheap if I'm going to spend money to go to the huboloo...

Maybe we could do another day on the bay like in June or something. Yeah, you could stay with me. But I'm in Sacramento, which is probably cheaper to fly into anyway.

It was, only $150 so that is why I thought I would look in to popping down. However, my wife is out of town and I got Baseball duties that day. We have the big party in July so it might be a little tough to do two in two months.

Any chance you could throw something at him or distract him in any way to keep him from doing it? Even though he's an ASU guy, the thought of him breaking the record makes me .

I think its pretty cheap to fly up so if it happens on a weekend where my wife won't miss me, I'm down like a clown!
