Got a PM from Quo today about a possible BF2 Clan. Would be cool if we could get enough members, and since no one has taken initiative, I'll start it off.
I'm not very experianced in BF2, and have only been playing for about two weeks. I would like to start playing clan games since most of the time I'm grouped up with random people.
If anyone wants to join me in a PGL clan, please post below with your ingame name.

| What kinda specs do you need for this title? I absolutely loved the BF2 for the Xbox and 360 - but absolutely hated all of the problems. The glitches, errors, etc. made it unplayable. I just sold my copy on Monday.
If my computer specs work and there aren't as many problems with this one, I might be interested. Not sure when I could fit the time in to play, but I enjoyed the carp out of the other ones and if the PC version is at all similar, I could have a blast playing.

1.7 GHz Intel Celeron D / Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon XP/ Sempron or greater
512 MB of RAM or more
8x or faster CD/DVD drive
2.3 GB free hard drive space or more
Video: DirectX 9.0c compatible (see video)
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible (Sound Blaster X-Fi series recommended )
VIDEO
Video card must have 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets:
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5700 or greater
ATI Radeon 8500 or greater
MULTIPLAYER
Multiplayer requires 1 set of discs per PC and a broadband (Cable, DSL, or a faster) connection.Internet or Network (2-64 players).
These are the requirements. I get almost no lag with a ADM Athlon 2.8 GHz. I also have a 256mb vid card if that matters (I don't know much about computer specs). I usually play the settings low so nothing screws up. It is quite a big game.
As for bugs, there were lots, but in the new patch a lot of them were fixed. There are still a few since it is a EA game, but it runs well most of the time. The only thing thats a problem for me is that the game takes around 5 minutes to verify client data before entering a map. Supposedly if you have a lot of memory (top of the line), it only takes around 20-30 seconds.

I'm in as well... although my gaming-capable rig is at the office, so I'll have to know ahead of time when you'll be playing and on what server. I'll look up my in-game name later in the day and try to post it. I've forgotten what it is....

| Thanks for the stats - I'll have to check out my home rig and see what i've got in there. I built it a while ago so I might be cutting it close on some of the specs. | |

| This game has been totally under the radar. Does anyone still have this and is there any interest to play it anymore? I do and will. | |

| I absolutely loved played this game - when it worked. Which unfortunately wasn't very often. Thanks to EA not living up to its promise to drop a "30 day patch" to fix all of the issues, I sold my copy. This was one of my favorite games the experience of which was ruined by EA blowing off its customers.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm pissed that I looked forward to this title for the 360 hoping that they had taken the time to fix all of the bugs that existed in the Xbox version. Well they didn't and the got me double dipped and then blew me off.
I highly recommend playing with Cujo if you get the chance. When I was fledgling and the comm didn't work, he and I would private chat and he gave me all sorts of great tips and hints.
