PC ?

I have a new HP Pavillion Elite m9040n pc, can anyone tell me if it is any good for gaming?, the guy at FS said it had a quad core processor, not sure of video card size...I dont know a whole lot about pc gaming.
I picked up crysis the other day, it seems very slow to start and play, I have adjusted game settings to the lowest possible but it still seems slower than I think it should be, what to do?...

Quad Core should be good. How much RAM do you have? Add more until you get to 4GB and you will be smoking. Also, you'll want to make sure you have a kick arse video card to do and see all the cool effects in Crysis. I haven't kept up with the PC side of things, but someone here should be able to recommend specific cards.

make sure you have at least 2gb ddr2 memory, absolutely no less. for most games, an 8600gt will take care of you. for crysis, you need an 8800 series card to run settings very high.

ram is super cheap these days, for some of the best prices go to newegg.com

you can get 4gb ddr2 memory for less than $100 im sure, video cards can be expensive, but look at the 8800gt 512mb, they are badass cards and i think you will spend about 150 after mail in rebates
