is battlefield 2 worth buying?

I was browsing BB and came across bf2 the other day... flipped the box over and it looked alright, went home and saw a few gameplay clips on youtube and thought it still looked fine....

I will always enjoy a semi-realistic fps but this one looks a bit slow... a bit too much snipping if ya know what i mean... correct me if im wrong!

how would you describe the gameplay? is it a chaotic mess like cod4 or is it more like a pixel sniping Red orchestra?

should i buy it?

You might have a hard time finding a match online for this cuz it's been out so long. The game was ok, but SERIOUSLY buggy. It was a typical EA cluster frack where the core game was nice but the production value (or lack there of) ruined the game. There were a bunch of places you could snipe from where the game would glitch and make you invincible. It was a very heavily snipered game as well.

I would say if you can still find people to play online with go for it but that is the best part of the game the single player leaves a lot to be desired.

If you can find a deluxe edition, BUY IT! The 360 version shames the PC version, especially if you have a nice rig.

I play BF2 all the time and I can tell you that it is definitely worth it. Like any other game it is only as good as the people that you play it with or against. I play all of the popular games(FPS) and even the games that are not as popular so I think that I can give you a very objective review of this game. BF2 is a blast although there is a learning curve to playing it; you will need to use many keys on your keyboard. After that, it is a very good game. BF2 game play is sort of a "capture the flag" style game that is on a large scale. There are many different style maps of different sizes that allow for good game play regardless of the amount of people on the server. If there are few people on the server and you are on a large map, you will run into fewer enemies with long distances to travel. The key is to find a server with a decent population of members and you will have loads of fun. The game also offers a "chain of command" structure with the availability to be a squad leader or a squad member. There is also the commander role if you are up to it. As you play and acquire points you will rank up which will allow you to unlock better weapons. There are many weapons load outs with many different vehicle and aircraft styles to choose from. This all translates to a good time. The price of the game has dropped dramatically since it came out and although it is roughly three (3) years old it is still extremely popular. I hope that I did this game justice when describing how good this game really is.
Another thing to keep in mind is that PCGN offers BF2 league play and we will be trying to get it up and running very shortly so please stand by.

I have been fooled by spammers a couple of times already on this site. Just wondering how you can tell they are spammers? The question he asked seemed pretty legit so I was fooled.

Before he was banned, his signature line had some links to websites in there. They'll post a few times to try to get some hits on their site, which I guess makes them some money from the clicks.
