GH3 PC demo?
I was looking to see if activision/red octane did a demo of the GHIII game. I looked around the net and couldn't find one. I checked some sites specifically for it--download.com, gamedemos.com, steam.com. No luck.
I wanted to see if the 360 controller would work on the PC version with the 360 pc toggle. If so, I was thinking I may try to get it so I can play the game in the office late a night, rather than in the family room.

I wonder if the GH 360 controller will work with Frets on Fire

I was looking for the GH3 demo, and couldn't find it. And I'm not that fancy to use Vista....I'm still XPing (one computer is Ubuntu, but that's no gaming machine)

Not sure if this is at all relevant since the person who had issues is extremely computer illiterate, but one of my friends bought this for his son and had loads of trouble getting it to work. I'm sure there could be millions of reasons why, but apparently his son was pretty upset that it didn't work.

it's true, the PC version is a little buggy, and very resource heavy. You need to have a pretty hefty machine to run the game well. The other option, is to turn down a lot of the graphics.
I have two computers, including this laptop that still have some good power. I just thought it might be nice option to play late at night. I could just setup the headphones as well, 8).

The thing with Guitar Hero is, you don't really need awesome, next-gen graphics. How many of use can look at the background while playing? Not I!
Lovekeiiy, I did a google search and turned up nothing. I think the problem is that one was never made/released.

I think you're correct Brad. It's not big deal. I also checked out Steam, thinking it might be there, nope.
Heck, the background could practically be blank when I'm playing, since I don't have a chance to look at it, unless I have either a very lengthy long note or nothing to play such during boss battles.
