I'm looking to buy a new game for my PC. Problem is I don’t really like MMORPG's and I'm not a huge fan of monthly fees. Tabula Rasa looks pretty interesting but I haven’t looked into it much. Another game I've been checking out is Hell Gate but again I don’t know much about it either. I've got a fairly new HP Dv 6000 laptop with the dual Pentium so memory shouldn't be an issue. Any feedback is much appreciated.

Crysis might be something to look at. The Orange Box is another.

I know Crysis is a taxing game on any system, really. But, other than that, I am not sure what's good.

I really want to check out Crysis, personally. All my friends who have it on their PC say it's THE best looking game. Period.

The only games I play on the pc are strategy games. If your into those, check these out:

-Rome: Total War
-Medieval: Total War
-The Age of Empires Series

The above are historic games. People have recreated several historical battles using the total war games. I know the discovery channel uses them.

Thanks for the tips PGLers. Think I'll check out Crysis. From what I hear it's a pretty awesome FPS. Although I hear the CPU requirements are a bit over the top. Oh well, put it in the machine and pray.
