The empire of Tamriel is on the verge of total collapse. The Emperor is dead. Desperate factions, mad with the scent of power, compete for control of the throne. To make matters worse, the gates of Oblivion have opened and vicious demons are laying waste to the land. The tide of darkness must be turned. The solidarity of the empire must be restored. Are you ready to save Tamriel?

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion continues the exciting roleplaying series. You will live another life in another world, choosing from a huge number of playable characters, from a sinister assassin to a wise sorcerer. An all-new combat and magic system hammers gameplay to a new level, letting you feel the ground you walk upon and the sting of every blow in combat. Stunning graphics capture the wonder of the setting, complete with bustling towns, dark dungeons and so much more. Realistic nonplayer characters fill out the world, going about their daily routines and even engaging in unscripted conversations. Shorter challenges, such as fighting bandits and creating magical spells, will arise throughout your adventure, making this quest a rich and exhilarating gameplay experience.

This game was HUGE! the open world nature of it led to some confusion at times and I got a little overwhelmed with all the side quests. The graphics were great and the storyline was pretty cool also.

The one thing that killed this game for me was the fact that the enemies leveled up at the same rate your character did. I never got the feeling that I should go grind out a few more levels before I tackle any certain area. For action RPG fans, this game is still a must play if you have a couple of months you want to kill.

Thumbs up

Best RPG since FFX for me. Great controls and storyline. Leveling system needs some work. Plus finding a cure for vampirism was a pain and a half. That being said this is a must have title.

I love Bethesda, sometimes I put Bethesda in my coffee. Bethesda is better than sugar.

You will like this game, if you play this game and don't like it then there is something wrong with you. Not like if you didn't like Halo or GoW or MGS, I can understand those, but this is a masterpiece. Do yourself a favor, set aside 40-150 hours, and play this game. Then play this game some more, trust me, you didn't see everything.
