Looks like fun. you need to practice though kinda got a Burnout feel to it. The clock, lap counter and postion graphics like the same. Is there any connection between the two games?(developers/creators)
nice Rhino. That game is a lot of fun. I love playin' the demo and will definitely be pickin' it up when it hits streets here in the US.
One thing I really don't like is that the music for when you hover over the game before you actually select it is incredibly loud compared to the rest of the system. Not to mention, the game is a bit louder as well. But the music before you even load up the game is so freakin' loud.

Nice video. That game engine reminds me of a PC racing game that came out in the late 90s to early 2000. I forgot the name of it. Something clicked in my brain when I saw the slow-motion destruction of your truck. I remember reviewing something very similar.
That looks like it'd be a blast. The in-car view really showed off the environment well.
So Jon, when you hover over the icon for the demo, it plays music from the demo? That is a cool dynamic to the dashboard, aside from the music blaring. COD games have LOUD menus as well.
yeah, when you hover over the image for the game or even the gamedisk it'll change the background of the whole dashboard to an image of that game and sometimes it'll have music. Genji demo has music, the Motorstorm demo has FREAKIN loud music. Formula 1 demo doesn't have music, though.

You saw how well I did! My lady's dad found out that I am off work and for the holidays; he shot over and wanted to mess around with the PS3. He was kicking some serious arse with the sixaxis...he had it dialed!
Ok, so you should have taken a video of him playing instead. Actually a video of him using the sixaxis would be cool. I remember the first time I saw it in action (Warkhawk at E3), that dude with long hair was funny.
I finally got a chance to play this... and I loved it! I can't really explain why, but this game did a very good job of giving the impression of speed and movement through a huge environment. The more I think about it, the less I can describe what it did to make you feel like you were really ramping off of the side of a mountain.
The explosions and fighting are great too. I loved driving around, and watching the AI wreck motorcycles 3-4 times each lap. The riders make great ramps too!
Unfortunately, the PS3 demo unit locked up. Before I started playing I mentioned to my friend "Don't play it, you'll burn it up" and a nearby worker yelled "It didn't freeze again, did it???" Turns out the display unit/case doesn't allow much breathing room. The vents that were there were burning up.
I don't understand why they surround the demo units knowing full well that they will get overly hot...
Kinda dumb. Gives a bad misconception of the units, wether it is the 360 or the PS3 or even the Wii. I think it's not a smart trend to pretty much fully enclose them.

Anyway, I was really diggin this game.
Oh but didnt you know? Its not locking up from overheating silly, its freezing up by design says a Sony rep....
Quote:
"Oh, hi! I'll be done here in one second and then I'll turn on the unit so you can get a glimpse of the future."
"Oh, I know all about it," I said, trying not to laugh. "I have the future at home. In my closet. Still in the box. Trying to sell it. No takers."
After a short, awkward silence, I decided to go in for the kill.
"So dude over there," I said pointing to the busy clerk, "says he keeps the kiosk off because it keeps freezing up."
"Nope. No it doesn't."
"Well, actually, yeah. It does. I've seen it happen myself."
"No. It doesn't. We did that on purpose," he said.
"You make the entire console lock up on purpose because ... why?"
"We do that so that people won't play it all day long," he explained. "Specifically during Motorstorm, we made it freeze up a lot."
LOL, even when there is a valid excuse for the system dying, they go and put their foot in their mouth. Will they ever just keep their effing mouths shut?
