General Gameplay
The objective is to eliminate monsters. This can be done by inflating them until they pop or by dropping rocks on them. You will see Pookas are round red monsters, and Fygars; green dragons who can breathe fire. Dig Dug is killed if he is caught by a monster, burned by a Fygar's fire, or crushed by a rock. It takes four 'pumps' with the “A” button to inflate a monster to popping. If left partially inflated, the monster will deflate and recover. The monsters generally travel through the tunnels, but they will turn into "eyes" and moving slowly through dirt. After you drop two rocks, vegetables and other edible bonus items appear in the center of the playfield which are worth achievement points and game points. You complete a level when the last monster is dispatched or succeeds in fleeing.
Tech Specs
The graphics are on par with the other 80’s video game releases on Live, such as Pac Man. You can adjust the screen size a little. Sound is nothing surprising. It still has the same music from the original.
Game Rage
Dig Dug is perfect for the casual gamer who wants to kick back and inflate some monsters.
Butt Groove
Dig Dug would be perfect for the hang around and relax before going to bed after playing COD2 on Veteran.
Bedtime Rating
Dig Dug can be played at anytime really. I would say it is good for any kid 6 and up.
Multiplayer
No multiplayer or co-op mode.
Achievements
There are 12 achievements worth a total of 200 gamerpoints.

Blah, I have considered getting it so that I can play it, but then I will see a compelation with it for a few dollars more for the PS2. That is the problem with a few of the old ports on XBL. Fun game though... fun game.
