All I care about is not feeling cheated by controls and/or map limitations that don't make sense. In other words - if I choose to go in guns a blazing, I don't want to be frustrated getting killed over & over again until I find "just the right weak spot" to kill the baddie.

| Yeah, most of this run through I've killed most things that come into my sights, without problem! As for the boss fight, I've only had one boss fight but there is still strategery. That's one of the things that I loved about this series better than any other series I've played. The boss fights could be downright tricky and (IMO) fun to figure out. The ways to defeat a boss were so innovative (Psycho Mantis, anyone?).
Most of the game you can get away with guns-a-blazing, but not really for boss fights.

The strategy was to simply stay away from edges and of course eat somethin if my damage meter went too low.
I have to say it was a pretty sweet battle with all the crazy unarmed weapons flying around. The effect of the building being torn to shreads is awesome! Audio, can't imagine it being better

It is a lot harder to keep track of every one who can wake up and ruin your day.
Just a thought for those of you who want more challenge without going up a level. |
Thats exactly what I do on my second run thru.
The boss fights were fairly easy, yet they were great.

| Update on my lack of MGS4...
My PS3 is still in Pennsylvania. I talked to my buddy, and he offered to mail it back to me. I said no(beings as it's not under warranty and I really don't want to have to duke out an insurance claim with the USPS), and my MGS drought may last into July. He said he should be able to drive back end of the month, but I don't believe him.
This is the first time I have ever loaned out a console of mine, and you can bet your ass it will be the last. Enjoy the game for me guys...
