| Metal Gear Solid 4 posting guidelines
Okay, as most of you remember when Halo 3 came out there were strict restrictions on what could be posted(after the ending was leaked and whatnot). Well the same thing goes for MGS4. There will be one thread, probably started by Keezy tomorrow afternoon(not the check-in one, a different one). That thread will be the only thread story details will be allowed to be posted. People were throwing around GTA spoilers willy-nilly after that game came out, and very well could've spoiled the game for somebody.
I won't be able to play MGS4 for at least a week after it comes out. You may be asking, "Why Dylan, why aren't you playing the game you've been looking forward to for the last 4 years? Why aren't you picking it up at launch?". None of your business is why, but it is a serious excuse.
Just level with me people. I'm going to have to avoid every single other gaming site on the web until I can play through MGS4 for myself. I don't want to have to avoid PGL too. Just keep the spoilers in the "Discuss MGS4 story details here(spoilers)" thread, and keep them out of the rest of the forums. Thank you in advance. | |

Perhaps we should have a spoilers thread, but still use the tags. That way you can talk a little bit about the game without having to have beaten it. It's just hard to say "Just finished Level X" because there really aren't levels, and listing events/locations as a way of detailing progress is also kind of a spoiler.
So... maybe we should just have it as a "I've beaten it, let's talk". Like a rocking chair, I have gone back and forth...
P.S. I need to start the check-in thread soon. | |

I'm seriously at the point where if this story gets spoiled for me, I'll stab jaws. Since this is a PS3-exclusive, only a small group of PGLers will be playing it, so there is less chance of loose-lips. | |

No need to worry Litch, I wont give out any spoilers other than the fact the Ending has a huge twist and bosses who die dont really seem to die...and somewhere along the line you have to eat a Snake to survive (Plus you have to hide in a Barrel).

you know the funny thing about MGS games is that i can tell a BS story and it could actually end up being the real deal. The Boss probably does come back in Spirit form like her Husband (I forget his name). Anyways once you play this let me know how it is. | |

I rented one of them once on the Nintendo 64. I played it for maybe 5-10 minutes and couldn't figure it out, so I took it back and exchanged it. Never tried it again. That was probably over 10 years ago. | |

Others, it's Kojima's ability to make humor out of anything gay and/or sexually explicit (seriously), but in a weird asian manner. Others just like to hide in boxes.
