Is a Brown Zune worth $80?

The refurb of the [apparently] not-popular "Brown" Zune is selling at Woot.com for $79.99, plus $5 shipping. It's the 30gb model. Is it a good deal at that price? http://www.woot.com/Default.aspx

Shit yes! The Zune is a far better digital media device than people give it credit. Audio quality is better than the 'market leader' and the screen rocks for video. Even though the second gen is coming, the updated FW for the Zune30 will add tons of the functionality of the new gen. The software has also been reworked.

I may get one for the wife at that price. She likes the smaller form factor of the flash Zunes though. She wants a Zune4 for her audio books and such.

that was an awesome deal zoom, nice find! as said before, the zune is a VERY nice media player, my sons bother have the 'market leader' and the zune is 10x the machine they are, and the software is so much better to boot!

For music and podcasts, I still stand by my iPod Nano. The size and docking stations sure make it easy to use where ever I go. Plus itunes makes life very easy to get new podcasts.

Hopefully Zune2 will do similar with the new built in podcast features.

im not into pod casts, so i dont know anything about all that, but for music/video the zune is stellar, there is a free program that you can use to rip your dvds straight to your zune, its auto setup for the best quality for that screen, nice! my zune is black tho /flex
