Zune Issues

I am getting this error message on a video file that I had deleted last night:
"the item is missing or can't be played" (with proper capitalization of course).

I had also deleted several music (podcast) files. They no longer show up on my Zune desktop in my device library, but they do show up in the device....

I sincerely hope that I don't need to wipe my device to get rid of all this garbage.....

Edit: ok I added some more podcast files and now the others show up to be manipulated (muuuhahahahah)

Now I just seem to have an issue with the vid file....it was odd because several files that I synced last night did not seem to show up today...

Weird...it is fixed.

Here was what I did: Plug in and unplug my zune several times, load a duplicate file, try to delete, or play, the bad file several times, scratch my head, get irritated, do several fruitless google searches, curse everything good in this world, contemplate punching several inanimate objects, look at some pron "by accident" that some how popped up during my google searches, drunk dial Pickle, and finally pass out semi nude by some bushes outside of a retirement home.

When all I really needed was post about it here at PGL, then look at my zune library one more time and it was fixed....what an amazing site.

Awesome. That's some weird shit though. I have never ran into a problem like that with mine. Do you auto sync or have it on manual?

When you deleted it, did you delete it off your library or your Zune?

I have it on manual sync.

I deleted the files from my Zune using the Zune desktop/software

I was like WTF am I going to do now for a little while...I was like there was ghost material that I could not access on the device, and info missing from the desktop that I could not see in order to delete it from the device. I was worried that I would have to wipe the whole thing and start from scratch.

If I wipe the original video files where can I download them from (safely) to save into my library? I need more room for PGL thong pron.

There are a few Zune sites that currently have the original, preloaded vids and such up for download. So I wouldn't worry about that crap. Can you just move all of that to your HDD? I never tried that. I just wiped her clean on the crap that was on there.

Now it is happening with about 5 songs that are lingering from an album that I deleted....

When I try to play them I get "The item is missing or can't be played." error message....

When I resync the album to my device it says that the songs are already on my device.

When I try to delete them from my library on my device they don't show up...

What a pain.

The problem was that I could not access anything on the Zune device that pointed at these ghost files because they were invisible to the desktop. So I had to figure out a way to trick the system into "seeing" those files. So I did a fake sync and deleted the files from the sync results page.

I finally figured out how to fix this issue:

-Re-sync the files in question (add them to the Sync list and hit Start Sync)
-Watch the "sync" progress bars.
-When "sync" is complete it should say files already on device on all files.
-You can then highlight and delete those files from the sync results page.

When you go back into your music files on the zune they will be deleted.
