Kaplan moves SAT prep to iPods

High school students can now prepare for the SAT test on their iPods, complete with music and timers.
The Kaplan education division of The Washington Post Co. (NYSE: WPO) is selling three interactive SAT prep programs that can be downloaded from Apple's iTunes store. Users can get detailed analysis of each quiz they take, feedback and an option for tracking their quiz-score progress.
The programs sell for $4.99 each and cover the SAT's three graded sections, including reading, mathematics and writing.
"Students don't go anywhere without their iPods, and Kaplan has always sought to make test prep as convenient as possible for our students so it's a natural fit to offer test prep on iTunes," said Mark Ward of Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions.
The downloads give users the option to take the tests timed or untimed, with or without music.
Kaplan also offers SAT test prep help on the MySpace Web site.
