Zune Help?

Nah, I'm rockin the beta of Zone Alarm Security suite. The don't have a full commercial version for Vista, so I'm beta testing pretty much.

It just kind of sucks b/c they nerfed a lot of the features they could have included on the Zune b/c they want to be simple like the iPod, yet the solution to this problem was intense. I go to college for this stuff, and had a hard time getting it to work... what is Joe Sixpack going to do when it messes up?

Hey, while I'm bitching and crying... the software renamed a bunch of my music, and gave it the wrong names and album art. Some of it was music I had previously downloaded from the Zune MP. Crazy... I'll probably just delete it all and start fresh.

WHAT?!? That's just weird. Why would it rename it? Gimme an example?

Well... I went through all of that DRM drama. So all of the music I got from the MP before that, was goofy. Basically it had to redownload all of the DRM rights for each song (though it seemed it was per album... after it downloaded for one song of an album, the rest of the songs worked right away). Also, you know how when you DL the song, it has the rating assigned to it by the Zune editorial team? Well all of those were gone as well. I had to reformat my Zune, and so on.

Well I'm listening to my Zune right now actually. And the song title is "Mr. E's Beautiful Blues" by the Eels. The album art, title, artist and album all match up... except the song that is playing is Mo' Murda by Bone It's all jacked up. I'd say 15% of my music has been labeled wrong. I told it to look up my music and update the information, so that's what did it.

Ohhh... here's one that is from the Zune MP. I downloaded the Buck-O-Nine album before the DRM meltdown. I guess it got partially renamed. For this B-0-N song, it has a B-O-N album art, but is labeled as the song "here's to tonight" and the artist is Eve 6, but again, the album listed is the B-O-N album picture. Strange.

Dang man, that's awesome. Did you check all your settings? You may have checked the "mix up all my song names to keep me guessing" setting. Its great for trivia day at the office.

Man, I have never run into issues like you're experiencing. I think I know the fix though. Metal. You need to fill that puppy up with metal. Yeah, that should do it.

Wow, while I had initial problems getting it setup, etc., its been running strong ever since. That's freaking weird. Sucks that QC doesn't seem to be up to par.
