i just joined it not too long ago and it's basically just a tool that goes with your winamp or windows player that takes down what you're listening to.
it then gives you similar music, artists, sounds that you might like based on what you listen to. Also it connects you to other people that have the same taste in music.
Its amazing for someone like me who's constantly looking for new bands/music to listen to.
it seems pretty neat so far.plus free, i know theres a paid version but i havent even looked into what that gets u.

Swagger, I end up listening to a lot of other peoples music because of my job. Does it let you just use songs you like to give recomendations or does it use everything that goes thru you music player to give you recomendations?

well i beleive you can turn it on and off, so you'd have to maybe bring it up everytime u get on, or a "change users" is in the bar...so you could probably just do that.
otherwise it will "scrobble"(take down the track)everything you listen to and give you suggestions based on that. It has a pretty obscure bands on there so thats impressive even tho they dont have any tracks you can listen to for alot of them.
almost every band has a list of 30/1:00 second clips you can listen to, to get a feel which i like.
i just started yesterday so i dont know too much about it but all you gotta do is let it run in the background and it suggests music.and other people can suggest music to you, and you can connect with people that like the same isht.
