| I switched USB ports to no avail - front, back, sideways, etc. I also tried charging it with the standalone charger to see if the battery was simply so dead as to not allow it to even get started charging.
I did that for a while and it was still turning off and on and resetting. So I called my tech support guru Crippler and whined that it was broken! He said, "did you try plugging it back into the USB port again?" So I plugged it back into the same front USB port and it has worked fine every since. to Crippler.
It did take HOURS (literally) to get all my music into the system. Then we had a power outage here at the office and something got jacked up so it had to re-add all my music again. So hours later I had everything all working.
I also grabbed some vidcasts and popped em on there. I ended up watching a few of them during the 17 innning Padre game we took my son to yesterday. Wow, even outside the video looked great. The audio sounds great too.

I liked the way my old Gigabeat was set up and I wish it was more like it. That radio car adapter seems to suck-ass. Maybe I can find a better all-around station to tune it in to.
Does it seem like the Zune never turns off? I hold the button and the screen goes dark, but touch any button and it turns on like it was never off. Izzat normal?
I thought this vid was kinda funny, even though I don't think the Zune is too big.

Yeah, its not that big, but it is bigger than my iPod for sure. The screen on the zune is tha bizzomb though.
I have noticed about that crazy not turning off thing. I think it goes into "hibernate" mode when you "turn it off" and then if it isn't turned on again or any buttons pressed for a while (not sure how long) it totally turns off.

Or is it up? hmm...the opposite of what I had you do Peench to reset it. I just throw it into hibernation and lock it. Then it wont turn on with a button press or removing the ear buds.

I like that the Zune pauses when your headphones get unplugged. It isn't much, but it is kind of a cool thing for them to think to add. I am still wanting a separate area for "spoken" audio files like podcasts and audio books so that they don't get included in the shuffle all.
