Been "playing" for at least 15 yrs now. Never had any lessons. All self-taught and it shows. I couldn't play a lead to save my life. Now, if we talk about some pit inducing, skull crushing rhythms then I'm your man. I prefer good melodic heavy metal that has some good thought out guitar. My main influence for picking up a guitar was James Hetfield (the good Metallica days). Some of my other influences are Zakk Wylde, Dimebag Darrell, Kerry King, and Max Cavalera.

Current gear:
amp: Mesa/Boogie Subway Rocket
guitar: PRS Custom 22 (Whale blue) w/ Tremonti pickup set

hetfield is a mjor influence foe me to, van halen is another one.
Ive never had lessons either, taught myself how to play, just started music theory.

I just started "playing" 2 weeks ago. My brother has an old Squier electric that he wasn't using, so he gave it to me as an early Christmas gift. I *really* suck at it, but it is a rush when I finally get a chord right.

Gear as far as guitars are concerned? Currently Just an acoustic 12 string, no other guitars or amps.

I'm more into keyboards(Piano is my fav to play) and deciding if I should get a new Korg kb or the Optoma projector I've been eyeing

I used to have a nice Carvin bass along with a Gib Flying V and some kickass amps but sold all of that in the early 90's when I graduated from HS.

The last "instrument goal" before I die is to learn Violin, it intrigues me like no other. The other goal I had was Banjo and I've accomplished that

I should post a pick of the 'ding'. My boss borrowed my PRS and placed a nice nick in the headstock. Ono, post all your shit. You probably have a room full of the stuff. Bust out that ESP KH2 you never play and throw up some sweet shots of the Martin D-42K2.

I also own 2 acoustics. One Martin EMP-1 and one I built. But I never play those.
