They're apparently coming to Jacksonville on 10/29, and offered up a "preorder event" to their website fans. (forgot I was even registered there) Anyway, I decided to buy 2 tix for the wife and me to go check 'em out. I'm not sure if she's even a fan of NIN, but I guess I'll find out tonight! I suppose earplugs are on the short list of items to bring.

I'd love to see how an old man like you stands up in the mosh pit (do they still do that? Do kids today know what "mosh" is? Do you realize I almost said mash? LOL). Give 'em hell, OLDSKOOL style, zoom!

| I got that email as well, they're going to be in Charlottesville. I may go, but my schedule is pretty foggy. How good is the deal? | |

No moshpit for us. I could have selected it, but I'm just too old (and too much of a wuss) for that environment. I think I'll wear my Coldplay shirt to the concert.

Ahhh, the good old days, eh? Now if it aint E-Z listnin' it's too damn loud for me!

One good album? You take that back right now!
Fine, have your opinion... all non-fans point to Pretty Hate Machine, so I imagine that is the one you meant.

| Slap yourself, Thornes! NIN is one of the most consistently great bands around. I'm a Downward Spiral man myself, but each album has a camp of people that consider it their favorite. | |

Any video that includes a mac = win!
And a comic about Trent Reznor's car.
I haven't listened to a full album yet, but I've enjoyed what I've heard.

Hey - I never said I never liked the band, but they didn't really go anywhere (imo) after Downward Spiral, which seemed more like a mix tape of Pretty Hate Machine anyway.
To each their own... even if they are a freak!

I really enjoyed the lighting effects from the LED walls (I guess that's what they're called). Pretty cool effects. I liked most of what they played, and they did a lot of their popular stuff, too.
During The Hand That Feeds, they had a picture of 'W' in the background, which slowly morphed into John McCain. The effects of that were pretty neat, but I could certainly do without the token political statements. That crap turns me off. Just play your frickin' music, morons! They weren't as bad with that junk as it could have been, but still...
Here's some photos and vids I took with my camera phone. For the vids, just turn down your volume all the way and look at the pretty light show. zoomzoom71's Concert Channel
