Anyway, anyone know if ther's any high resolution version of this album coming out? They're not necessarily one to do that, but I just wanted to see if anyone's heard anything.

Standard Cd and 320bit download is all I have seen.

Can an avg sound system even reproduce the increase in sound quality of a SACD? Let alone a MP3 player if you wanted to take that shit with ya? It would be nice if it was the standard but it's just another one of those Sony things.

Yeah, most systems can show an appreciable difference between CD and SACD. It's more a matter of what differences the individual listener can perceivably hear.

2 more days until the release! I actually heard "The Day That Never Comes" on the radio for the first time a couple days ago. Good stuff. Reminded me of some of the stuff on "And Justice For All".

Ok, I need to round up some peeps for this. I told my wife she is going to the next show since I get dragged to Def Leppard concerts with her.

Metallica hasn't made any music that resembles ...and justice for all since, ...and justice for all. They have been on a steady decline since Justice, and from what I've heard so far from the new release they are continuing on down that slope. They should change the name of the new album from "Death Magnetic" to "Death Pathetic"

I haven't heard the whole album, just what's been posted on the net. I guess I should hear the whole thing before berating it, but I've said that about Load, Reload, and St. Anger all of which severely disappointed, in my humble opinion.

I can say, the 3 songs they released are the WORST of the 10. The album as a whole is MUCH better than anything in the last 15 yrs. It's growing on me.
