Download Music from Your Friends' iTunes Libraries Over the Internet with Mojo

Windows and Mac versions. Seems pretty neat, although a bit dicey.

Lifehacker gives a nice tutorial, I'm going to give this a try with some friends tonight.

That actually sounds pretty cool. I thought the media sharing companies would get in on this - allow users to recommend music and then allow people to download it directly if they like it. Sounds very cool. Zune has half of it down with the sharing, but they need to allow direct purchase instead of simply expiration after 3 days.

Okay, I set it up at work today, and was able to stream and download any song off of my Mac at home, while I was at work.

That's pretty damn cool.

Any songs that your friend has that are DRM locked, show up in red. Any song Mojo recognizes you already have shows up grey.

You can already do this with iTunes over a network, but it's nice to be able to do the same thing over the internet.

Pretty damn awesome.

Yes, but if you have no interest in downloading the actual files, I'd go with a program called Simplify Media. It is just for streaming, and works within iTunes. Works really well too.

Simplify Media - Connect Your Music

It's pretty good. I used to use it to stream between work and home, but now work blocks it.

I really like Mojo now though.
