| Bluetooth on iPhone Anyone using a bluetooth headset with their iPhone? How much does it affect the battery life? I've been eyeing the jawbone v2 and was just wondering if it was worth it without adversely affecting the battery life. | |

I bought one, used it once, and threw it in a drawer. It either seems to fit great or not at all. I tried every attachment with no luck. YMMV

I'm leaning towards the apple one simply for these features.

I find it doesnt really effect iPhone power as the headset needs to be charged more than once a day which is more of an issue than the phone battery - at least for me

That's my major concern. I like that it charges along with the iPhone (if you use that included travel charger) so when I'm at my desk I can keep the iPhone plugged in and just add the headset if need be.

Reception is no problem either.
I have missed a few calls when it's plugged into the charger as it shuts off and you have to take it out, turn it on before the call goes to VM.
Otherwise I'm happy with it.
I like the form factor.
Side note- posting here from iPhone is a pita. Serious lag when typing.

| Lag? Did you update to software 2.1?
Thanks for the info Reifel. My brother's wife has the original Jawbone she loves it. My brother says that when talking to her it sounds good with no real problems, so I may just go that route.
Keep the info comin'! | |

I'd say the Jawbone 2 is the best way to go. sure you don't have the battery indicator but the quality both sending and receiving audio is impeccable. IMO

Think about it...if you have a problem call apple or go to the store and they will replace it for free for 1 year....
It was a smoking deal when it came with the dual dock...I had to mod mine to fit the 3g.
I had some issues with them from time to time not being able to crank up to full volume. It was usu resolved by re-pairing with the iPhone via the sync cable. It will work on the fly using a cigarette lighter usb adapter/charger in your car...
Plus, I freaked out an Apple Genius early in the release of the headset. He asked me what the littel symbol was that showed the iPhone was paired with a headset...I told him it meant that it was time to smoke a bowl (I was just kidding, don't get any ideas). The look on his face was priceless... after I stopped laughing he said, "wow it really does look like that."

| I see, Reifel. Yeah this site freakin sucks!
I'll have to look into the Jawbone v2 and the apple headset more to see which one may work better for me.

No other lag issues.. | Reifel,
Go into your User Control Panel, and select Edit Options. Under Thread Display Options, you can choose to not "Show" signatures, avatars, and images. Deselecting any of those will help how quickly these pages load on your iPhone.

I'm using the mobile version of the site and at odd times (not always) there is ridiculous typing lag. The mobile version shows no pictures, and it's only when typing that this occurs. It just started happening to me though, and doesn't happen always.
