Calendar Alerts

On the OGiPhone I used to have a lot of options for alerts. In fact I have events that I restored to the 3g phone with alerts set for 7 days in advance.

I was setting up a new event today and the maximum advance time was 2 days...

Anyone have any info on this?

Weird. I always set them in iCal, and then they stay. I have some that are 30 day alerts. Never set it on the Og Phone before the update though so I don't know.

If the public wanted a real smart phone, then Apple probably wouldn't have sold one million in 3 days.

The power to underestimate what the consumers truly want will continue to make every other clone phone the same failure that the Zune has seen against the iPod line.

Smart Phone was 5 years ago, people want a functional phone now.

Chaser (I've still not called you about Tunebite, I'm lazy), have you tried setting up the alerts on the computer first?

Just to make sure I'm reading you right, you want a reminder to pop up saying "PAX in 30 days" or something like this, right?

Yeah, it changed. Now the max is 2 days in advance.

I wonder if it is because I set it up to sync wirelessly with exchange.

There are times when I need to schedule something away from the office.

What are yours showing as the max number of days in advance?

Mine (1st Gen) is 2 days before, but I don't remember if it always was or not.

I could swear that I used to be able to do more before 2.o...maybe I am finally losing it. Completely.
