iPhone Enterprise Integration

Not the starship.

Here is a list of docs for configuration with VPN's and Exchange...for quick reference:
Apple - iPhone - Enterprise - Integration

The enterprise data plan is more exspensive than the standard data plan. As it probably should. If you gotta have it then you gotta have it. Just wanted the public to know

Not to mention you need your company to support the configuration on your exchange server.

Connected via exchange server no problem whatsoever. Full sync calendar, email, contacts....very simple.

I remember reading somewhere that you had to choose between syncing you contacts with Exchange or your home contacts (be that Outlook or whatever else is on your home box).

Yeah I'd read that too, can't remember where though. I don't want my work mail on my iPhone (especially now that I work from home), so I deleted the account, but it worked for my larger than life company email.

Rhino, can you have both sets of contacts on your phone?

If you think about it... you don't really want your personal contacts synced to the company. In a Company -> Personal situate, the flow of info is probably just like that, Company to Personal. In the Personal only sense, you want you iPhone and computer to share contacts, so any additions on either end will be pushed to the other end. Maybe that is where the confusion is in the review?

A guy in IT in our company said that it would delete the set of contacts that were on the phone...I haven't tried yet because I had concerns.

Apple needs to allow for folderizing or some sort of orgnizational scenario for the iPhone to be effective for biz contacts..I haven't really checked out the enterprise side...I am happy to get my emails on the road again.

I can't tell if it deleted future cal events as well...I need to double check.

Old stuff is there. You may want to backup to your personal Outlook or Stevelook before trying it...
