In Ceiling speakers
Does anyone have experience with them? How are they for 5.1-7.1? With my new drop ceiling, it might be my only option. Do they tilt at all so they can be slightly pointed to the Captains chair?

The surrounds in my living room are inceiling and I love them. My are Paradigm's, but I would imagine any equivalant brand would sound as nice.
When I bought mine a year or two ago, I did lots of research into these speakers, mainly in regards to the pivoting aspect. Many "experts" determined this to be more of a gimmick then actually doing anything. My speakers are 10 feet high, and about three or so feet to my left and right of the sweet spot. I am constantly amazed out how awesome the sound is from these speakers. I dont think I have ever had the problem of wondering why a sound is coming from there, instead of directly behind me.
This may be the nature of most sound to these channels, ambiance, quick passes, and just subtle things.
I would recommend them, and think they look much nicer then hanging speakers actually. Big pimpin yo!

Yeah, last night my wife had a couple of friends over and they were rocking out on GH2! I jumped on as soon as they finished, but I had already missed the match. Sorry about that.

I'll 2nd what Serren said about the Paradigm in-walls. I recommended paradigm speakers to a friend when they were setting up their new house. They ended up buying a place that was pre-wired so they bought in-walls. I sent my friend's wife to a store with a couple of recommendations (it was a present for him), and she ended up with the paradigms after listening to a few different speakers. I helped them calibrate the system after it was installed and was amazed at how well they sounded.

I would add that many "audiophiles" might bash in-walls/in-ceiling speakers. This may be true for two-channel listining, but for home theater and gaming, I doubt the average person could tell the difference with the surrounds.

This raises a question- do I need to find ones that don't have a woofer? I do have a sub (a weak one) but I believe I've been fine with it seeing as though my current surrounds are small peices of crap. Now, my Klipsch RF-7's and RC7 is a differant story...
Should I get Klipsch speakers (timbre matching)? Do they just go in the same spots (placement) that I have my current 7.1 set-up in?
