Stop Projecting!

Good afternoon,

I am very much interest in projectioning for motion picture and Atari game. I like very much.

Hey! It's getting to be that time of the year where I start to get PJ envy. I know many of you frequent HT forums and such, and was just hoping you all could keep an eye out for a sweet deal on a projector. I see that the HD70 has a $200 mail-in rebate through the end of September, which is pretty nice if you ask me. One site is selling it for $949 on top of the rebate. I'd almost rather find one used, as it might be cheaper.

You know I'm crazy, and may not make the jump... but if you all could let me know if you stumble onto anything, that'd be excellent. I miss having movie nights at my house, and would love to Finish the Fight on 9/25 via a screen bigger than 22".

Thanks PGL!

This projector also has a 2 year warranty, double of many brands.

Your welcome to swing by my house and see a Panasonic AE900 at 120 inches anytime young Keezle. Make the jump you won't regret it. I wouldn't go used unless the deal was amazing though.

Serren you'll have to let us know how that bad boy looks when you get it hooked up. Sounds like a good bargain.

i have been intrigued by projectors for some time, can you game on them very well? how dark does your room HAVE to be for it to be pleasantly viewable?

my dad had an old school projector in his pool hall like 10yrs ago, we used to play mario kart 64 on it, that was fun, just dont know about this generation of graphics

All depends on the lumens of the projector and also the screen. If you do the research it is possible to leave the lights on. i don't cause I have a dedicated room and like the theater feel.

Goat, I'll definately post my opinions on my new pj setup. Costco is also currently running a special on my old pj, the H27 with 92" screen for $699.99

It's only 480p, but thing sure would drop jaws. But for $250 more, the HD70 for a true 720p HD setup is hard to pass.

edit.

UPS just dropped off the screen!

Awesome man! Get ahold of that rebate and it'd only be $50 more than your old PJ. Definitely let us know how it goes.

Thanks MadB... I may have to check it out. My friend has a PJ, and I don't think it's even for HT. It still looks pretty good.

I hope they keep that screen/PJ deal. That's damn cool.
