Now my projector died!

I posted last week about my 65" Mits CRT TV having a slow death thanks to some bad convergence chips.

Well yesterday my wife call me into the bedroom where we have a Optoma H27. The picture now looks like a comic book! The entire image is displayed with about 16 colors. Very odd. Well, I figured it just needed to be turned on and off, and that would set it straight. Nope. I even tried changing modes and all that. No go. It is stuck in comic book mode.

Has anyone ever heard of something like this?

This projector is just a year old, but it gets used about four hours a day at least.

I am going to try and return this to Costco. I bought it there before they changed the rules at least.

Yes, at least you get grandfathered (Peenched) in.

That sucks man! Have you tried all different combinations of sources and connections?

That was the first thought too.
At least being Grandfathered in with Costcos generous return policy should be worth it since you can get a newer model now.

Yep on the Costco thing! The projector actually did die. Has anyone ran a bulb into the ground? Does that sound like the odd color problems I had?

I was thinking the picture would just get lighter, or go out.

Now I have no fully functional display devices in my house. Projector dead. CRT MIts, missing blue. SUCK!!!!!
