The Pursuit of Happiness Blu-Ray Problems?

My wife and I tried to watch this movie on Bluray last Saturday and had a pretty carppy experience. My first indication should have been when I first put the disc in and got an error reading "This disc cannot play" or something to that effect.

I thought it was odd so I took the disc out, checked to make sure it was clean (it was) and put it back in. Then it played. We watched the first scene and within the first 5 minutes it froze up to a black screen. I thought that was odd, took it out again, cleaned it, then put it back in and tried to go back to that scene. No dice. Just frozen.

It eventually went past that point though we missed anywhere between 5-15 minutes of the first part of the movie.

So we finally got into the movie and with 20 minutes to go the movie blacks out again. Using the "display" button on the PS3 remote it showed that the timer was still ticking, but there was no audio or video. I fast forwarded and we were able to watch the last 5 minutes, but we missed probably the critical stuff at the end. No amount of messing with the disc or the "choose a scene" would get us back to where we needed to be.

It was pretty frustrating and I'm wondering if we just got a bad disc or if it is a known issue. I'll call netflix later today, but wanted to see if anyone knew anything about it from a systemic standpoint before I did.

Thanks.

Yeah, Peench, it must be the disc. We own that movie, too, with no problems.
