I figured the time was ripe for starting up a little "get to know you" area here where we can show where we all game and/or enjoy our home theater activities. I've got a couple of places where I enjoy my hobbies at home. The first is my home office. While one side of the office has my desks, etc, the other side has a mini-home theater where my old xbox and my Xbox 360 are connected. This is where I do most of my gaming:
Its a 42inch Toshiba with my old Paradigm setup. CC-170 and Titans in the front and some other Paradigm speakers for rears (can't remember what they are). I game mostly in here because I can close the door and game without disturbing too many people in the house.
My main home theater looks a little like this:
The angle is a bit funky because I took it from an overlooking balcony. When my old mitsu RPTV failed a few months ago I got that Mitsu 57" DLP. I'm liking it, but I still miss my old TV. Speakers are Studio-CC, Studio 80's and Servo-15, with my old Atoms in the rear. Movie night is always fun.
Jon - you tell me! I saw Kevin and his wife over the last couple of weeks (their daughter plays soccer in the same league as my son) and they said their house is coming along - a bit longer than they had hoped, but getting there. I'd love some more of those ribs!!!
Thanks for starting this up, I always liked seeing everyone's set-up! Great pics everyone...looks like PGL has some solid HT fans! Here's mine...Theater/Gaming Room -

I really enjoy this room, just wish it was a bit bigger...but that's why I work I suppose.
Oops...sorry, thanks to Peench for PGL AND starting this thread!!
I looked at the DT7000's but thought they might be too much for this small of a room?!?! I don't know. Really pleased with the 2006's and this set-up. I have friends come over, put in Das Boot (Superbit DTS) or Attack of the Clones opening scene, and let the three Subs across the front shake the fillings from their teeth!!! Ha!!
Lamp came in a big wooden crate stuffed with straw and marked "Fragile" - must be Italian!
I didnt mean the 7000 models themselves, I meant the 7006s to be exact. They mimic your 2006s dimension wise(heavier due to bigger amp and 3 subs built into each) but the upgrade to the highs, mids and lows is rather significant.
Do a side by side of the 2 and your jaw will drop like thus
If you ever get the bug, trust me, it'll be worth it. The best part is they didnt raise the prices on them
They were supposed to make new centers that had the supercube sub in them to match the new 7000s, 7001, 2's and 6's. I guess its taking longer than expected.
Everyone was telling me the 7002's as Mains would overpower the 7006s as surrounds, boy were they wrong. Those 7006s are beasts!
That lamp rules! Where did she get it if I may ask?
