| if it's big ticket items I usually break them down and store them as long as possible so, if I need to return it or if I want to sell it later, I'll have original boxes to ship. | |

Honestly, with our serious lack of storage space, I keep boxes for about 90 days then give it the boot.

But, we think we're settled now, and could start storing them in my attic, which does indeed offer all sorts of space. And, she'd never know it was up there! It would be nice, though, to safely dump the thing.

Those pants did, however, make an excellent awning. We got 2 inches of rain the other day and they held up nicely thanks to the vinyl coating Danger had applied.

I always keep my component and speaker boxes, for when I move or decide to sell an item. Certainly helps when moving, and for some reason it gets more money when selling something used if you have the original boxes.

| I keep all of mine indefinitely. I don't have a big TV to worry about though. I am always upgrading gear and it certainly helps to have the original packaging when it comes time to ship it to it's new owner (or down the street to Taz, lol). | |
