i have had no luck with universal remotes, the ones I have tried to work with have a tendency to eventually get confused and turn things randomly on and off. well not quite but it has been less then exceptional

What one's have you had experience with? Generally speaking higher end universals operate pretty much flawlessly. Some people prefer the web based ones where others don't but they are all plenty capable now a days.

I have a Home Theater Master MX500 and it has been a great remote. If it weren't for the lack of RF capability I would never even think about replacing it. And when I do it will probably be with the same brand.

Dang, coupon code expired on Zoom's Dell offer for the 550. I couldn't quit thinking about which would be better so was gonna try both. Oh well, I hope the Xbox one is as good as the reveiws say. Might wanna update that first post though
