| Brew, did you say you don't have HDMI? because HDMI via the PS3 is pretty surprisingly good, from what I've experienced so far!!!
the 360 is pretty good as well but, it's a lot louder than the Denon or even the PS3. So, I would say, either the PS3 or the Denon right now. But probably the Denon, since it's a standalone. I don't remember the 910 specs very well but, I know Denon makes fantastic products, so you really can't go wrong with sticking with them.

| If I could only choose one I would go with the 360 add on as it plays HDDVD's. | | |

| it's nice having that option. But, you're probably better off until receivers with HDMI 1.3 implemented in them start taking hold of the market. With the PS3, you will be able to send uncompressed bitstream to the receiver to do all the audio decoding!
Those receivers aren't too far off from now, so hold out just a little bit longer on the HDMI audio!

| I would definitely wait for the 1.3 receivers to start becoming available, which should be sometime early next year. I couldn't wait and sold my 3805 for the new Pioneer 84. I needed something with HDMI upconversion so I would only need to run one cable to my PJ. | | |

| yeah, the 84's nice. I still like my 74TXVi. I will probably wait another year or two before I consider upgrading. | |

My next purchase will be to buy another Cinenova (man I miss mine).

| Denons are definitely nice. I will be seriously considering a Denon for my next purchase just because there are some issues I am starting to have with Pioneer Elite. The "Elite" status doesn't quite mean what it used to... | |

| The main reason I picked up the Pioneer instead of a Denon was, Vanns had just taken this one out of the box and hooked it up in their HT room. They didn't have any others in stock so I got them to sell me this one as an open box item which saved me a ton of jing. | | |

| that's always a good reason, mang!! Yeah, at this time, my top choices are Denon and Pioneer Elite. They just fit my personal taste for functionality great. Onkyo is another great one that I will consider as well. | |

| I understand the desire to want upconversion, but in my case, I once had it (with the Oppo player) and now am entirely content without it. The 360 did a good enough job for me not to care too much about it and now with the PS3, I think it works better as a DVD player than even the 360!
Of course, like I said... that's just in my case alone. YMMV

Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Left Coast | I was pricing out DVI switches and it the prices were a little too steep to make sense.
Since the PS3 is controlled by bluetooth. I am thinking that I am going to use a splitter. This way when I click my harmony to switch my HT components to the PS3 it will not power up until I use the controller.
The OPPO has to use the DVI and I would prefer to use an HDMI to DVI adapter on the PS3 with an optical cable for audio.
Sounds like a cost effective solution.
