Best Friends mom projector burnt out.. Opinions?

So what they had was a old (very dated sharp standard def projector).

They already have a automatic screen (probably 100-120"). The room they have is pretty pimp with a 4 seater very plush leather couch and blinds for controlling the light (fireplace behind the screen) (even if the gear is dated, probably bigger than my apartment), lol.

What would you go with if they were to stay with standard definition?
What about if they were to upgrade to HD?

They have access to Best Buy's employee discount and also frequent Costco.

Hey, the lamp on our projector TV in the Great Room burned out.
Instead of replacing the lamp, we were thinking of buying a new projector TV.
I did some research and have some specs, etc. on a couple of projector
TVs and was wondering if you could look at the various ones we are
thinking about and give us your thoughts since you are the "TV EXPERT!!"

Take a look at the thread posted recently regarding projectors. Seems like the Infocus IN76 was highly recommended. Why would someone NOT go w/ HD these days?
