IMG tags

FYI, in the vbulletin control panel there is an option for how you will display links in an IMG tag that don't end in the typical JPG GIF etc etc. Right now you have it set to display the url as a link rather then an image. If you set it up the other way it will allow me to post picture pictures.

I'm still running VB3.0 but in my control panel it is under

Vbulletin Options -> Message Posting & Editing Options -> Allow Dynamic URL for [IMG] Tags

With this option set to 'no', the [IMG] tag will not be displayed if the path to the image contains dynamic characters such as ? and &. This can prevent malicious use of the [IMG] tag.

For people like myself who have their pictures in a gallery when I hotlink my pictures they have special characters in them. If you change that setting to YES then the IMG tags will auto display my pictures rather then the URL to my pictures.

Hey Wizz1e - I'll hafta defer to Codec, the man behind the mask. He's the brains around here. If he gives it the thumbs up, we're all cool and he can make the change. My only concern is the type of malicious use of the IMG tags that might be set up. We've been getting more than few pings and signups lately from people who are only interested in spamming. I don't want them running amuck here.
