The general consensus among us Editors and Moderators was that the focus on the post count would detract more from the focus of quality posts. You can still see your post count in your profile, though!

That's cause the editors and mods were doing all the 1 or 2 wortd posts to pad their counts. Cheaters.

Haha.. Actually, the real reason was that I realized there was no way I was ever going to catch up to the number of Jon's posts so I axed it so I didn't have to stare at my defeat on a daily basis!!

Okay, just kidding - what Jon said above was the real reason! We want to focus on quality (whether the posts be helpful, in jest, or whatever) rather than quantity.

You can still look up how many post you or any other member have by , clicking on your name,click view public profile and it will tell you. Or you can go to the Member list tab up top, and it lists everyones post #

I'm surprised it took you guys this long to notice. That was weeks ago (™Chapelle) that we made that change.
