Dustless PC Tower

Is there such thing as a "dustless" PC Tower? Does any case mfgr offer a case with filtration on it, to keep the guts sparkling?

I use an Antec case at work and it has a filter on the FRONT fans only. It has a side fan that does not. So to answer your question, yes.

Yeah. They make some nice cases and have a good variety. The IT guys here have since switched to Antec cases for everything since I used them for our rigs. They really like them.

Interesting question Zoom. Gotta love all the dust bunnies that collect in these things over the years. I dust mine out every now and again and put all the dust bunnies in a little pen, but most of the people at our office have a solid mass of dust in their computers. Gross.

Can't you buy panties hose and stretch them over the fans? I remember seeing that on a old episode of The Screen Savers. Don't think I ever tried it though.

Man, you guys should see what the inside of our PCs look like here after about 3 months. All the mahogany dust. We take our cases down to an air hose every 3-6 months for a good blowing.

I didn't even think about that Crippler. I imagine that could get crazy dusty over there. In fact, do you guys get "blown" out every few months? I can only imagine the amount of dust you all are breathing in each day!

There are a lot of good cases out there that would probably suit your need pretty well, Zoom. Lian Li makes some good ones, too. Antec is a great company overall for computer stuff.

mmmm..Lian Li. Sexy aluminum cases. They get quite pricey though.

Since I'm looking for a Power Supply, too, I'll look around for a tower that offers a PS with it. Antec's are lookin' pretty good, and not too expensive.

Antec makes great cases. You may want to do a search for the fan filters. I remember seeing an article in Maximum PC a few months ago about what kind of material to use.

I don't have too much of an issue with dust in the computers, it's around the floor and fans. Then again, my computers are pretty much on 24/7.

I don't worry about it too much either. If you take the cover off every year or so to do basic maintenance, you're probably doing some basic cleaning along with it.

Antec makes a damn good power supply also.
