| Ono, if you're having problems with your internet, as of late, you're probably not going to want to go wireless. When you go wireless, you start to run into problems with interference and such. Not to mention, you might lose a tiny bit of speed when you go wireless, overall.
The best solution is to be hard-wired to your router for the safest bet. Wireless is a convenient solution to having tons of wires running around the house but, it comes with those inherent problems mentioned above.
If you're having problems, try plugging directly into the modem and see if that helps your stability at all. If it does, then you know it is the router that's giving you problems. If it's not helping, then you'll have to call your Service Provider to come out and check it out for you.
As far as brands to go with, for routers, you're probably not going to run into too much trouble with Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, or Belkin. |
