| Just did the tweak in Firefox, very easy to do! Works pretty well as there is a noticeable difference loading pages. | |

This tweak allows you to change the amount of time (in msec) Firefox waits before rendering a page. A setting of 0 will cause Firefox to render as soon as it gets the info. Which will give you a web page that has all of it's contents filling in as you read. I personally prefer a setting around 500. This way the webpage is complete as it becomes viewable. The effect of this setting will depend on how phat your pipe is. Just install Fasterfox for all of the performance tweaks for Firefox.

My next upgrade will be the upgrade to my PC, into something like a quad core. I need to go balls-to-the-wall, so I can have a solid PC for more than a couple of years. | |
