Bungie weekly update question:

If you guys read the weekly update, at the end, they talk about the recon helmet. Now, a lot of people have been bitching about the recon helmet, and how they want it.

Bungie then kinda sorta hinted that they give out the helmet as a "reward" for capturing some stupid stuff that happens in halo. The first two to get it are 1.) the guy that killed himself with the cone on The Pit and 2.) the guy who's sniper bullet ricoche'd across Last Resort and he headshot himself.

Those two people now have the recon helmet. Looks like I should be on the lookout for stupid stuff that happens to me in the game. I want that helmet!

Yup. Frankie also verified in either a podcast or an interview that it's available other ways, and that no one in GP has figured it out yet. I've played with a handful of people that have it.

But yes, they handed it out to those two film guys. What's interesting is how much RECON is mentioned in the descriptions of the other armor that's there.
