Some dedicated fan over at HBO created a timelapse photo of Bungie's online players map, starting on launch night.

If you watch closely, you can see watch people fall asleep from east to west, then quickly recover - it seems that, more often than not, people really want to play Halo, even during the work day. You can even see blinking dots on far-off islands, places I did not even think had internet connections until now.

Technical information: This covers the first week, starting around 2AM on Tuesday, excluding Wednesday and Thursday, when the map was offline. Times are listed in EST.
