A note on posting Halo 3 footage...

Please do not post any unauthorized single player or multiplayer footage.

While multiplayer videos may not be spoilers, it's becoming harder and harder for gamers to avoid potentially damaging videos pertaining to Halo 3.

So, for the time being, if you didn't get the pictures or videos off Bungie.net, please don't post them here. In 5 days everyone will be playing it, and I know that some folks don't want to even see multiplayer maps before hand, so I'd hate to be responsible for ruining their excitement.

After Halo 3 drops, it will all go back to normal, but in the meantime, we'll be locking threads that can damage a gamers psyche.

Also, to anyone that has posted stuff, don't feel bad about it. Everyone has their own comfort level, we're just going to pretend like we're really stuffy for a few days regarding Halo 3.

We'll go at Bungie's pace, because honestly, those fantastic bastards know what pace is the best.

I think it would be really helpful for people wanting to learn maps, that have time to kill away from the 360.

****ing newb. (props to spelling it n e w b as well!) Post away on the 25th, for two reasons:

1) no one will be on the forums.

2) everyone will be drunk off no sleep and that Christmas morning feeling, and they therefore won't care what they're reading.

Some folks don't even want to know map names before they drop, on Tuesday morning we call those people "targets."

Wow, I didn't know people were so sensitive about Halo 3! It's not like finding out Bruce Willis plays a ghost in that 13th Sense movie! I'm excited, but seeing multiplayer videos won't make me any less excited.

PLEASE NOTE: We are on Halo 3 spoiler content lock-down, because we are appealing to the lowest common denominator. It is hard to tell people to avoid this forum because there is a controlled amount of information being released, and it makes the days leading up to launch fun. That being said, we obviously don't want things like SP details or even the ending being shown. It's like foreplay, and I'm not even angry for using sex as an analogy to Halo 3. There. I said it.

Theories are fine. Speculation is fine. Things from the books, comics, graphic novel, etc are fine. If the information is supposed to be public, then it is fine here. We're not going to ban you, unless you are malicious in your intent. We are not assholes, I promise.

Once the game launches, I'm sure there will be a spoiler thread to discuss the story, much like there is for Bioshock. A lot of questions will be answered. Again, let's just be smart about what is posted. It's only 3 days, 23 hours and 43 minutes until entertainment sales records are shattered.
