| Anyone going to be on tonight? I want to try out the Banshee, but I hate people. | |

Most of those guys were friends with Sage and her crew, but majority of them seemed cool to play with. Weird issues were going on, like going from the Lobby screen to the menu but still being able to talk like it was the lobby, we could all hear eachother. I couldn't invite you back in after that Keezy, it always said you were in our room even though you weren't.
Good times though... | |

Last night was a mixed bag for me. I did pretty well early on in smaller matches, but then in the last big match or two I was totally lost again. I don't know what was happening but I was lagging behind the action somehow. I'd have a run-in with another player we'd both be shooting, their shields would be flickering like crazy, I'd continue to fire... they'd stop firing and run off (literally run 10 paces or so) and then my guy would drop dead. Another time I was running toward the hill in the center of the map and I just dropped dead, sniped. Then about two seconds later the guy who reportedly sniped me showed up on my screen, turned and fired toward me. I was getting reports of death after the fact and sometimes before. Very strange.
Oh, and Keez, if you want to see the video of that Banshee slamming into the Warthog on Valhalla (up against the eastern wall) I've got the video. It's a pretty awesome kamakazi, I think it was Steaming Grits...

Man, I love the warthog gun still.

Kooo-ah, sorry about the lagadore. It was really bad last night. That's about how things went with me in COD3. I would die and the person who killed me would keep shooting for a few more seconds and then it would register. I could tell you were frustrated buddy, sorry I kept messin with you. Just a few friendly shots to get your shield flickering
I don't know what was going on last night though. I had connection issues 4-5 times. Usually I go a few nights without having any.

The Banshee kind of blows. It's very limited in it's y axis pitch. You can barely shoot that thing at the ground. It's too limited. If I want to dive vertically into the ground, then let me. Don't limit the flight of the Banshee. Give us FULL control.

What's funny... and very sad... is that it took me quite a bit to figure out it was you doing that! You'd usually say something to me when you did it, but I'd still be spinning around trying to figure out where the fire was coming from.
If you watch the whole Banshee film you'll see that I got totally confused on what color I was early in the match and was trying to pick off my own teammates with a sniper rifle. My wife and I were watching the film and I realized I was shooting at the wrong guys... we had to start the film over for me to confirm what color I was. Sheeez.
I watched a couple of films just to try to get a grip on why I was missing. It always seems like I have someone dead in my sights and I'm blasting away, only to have them turn around and take me down with a shot or two. Happened more than once last night against Epyon. Oh well. I just need to play this game more. I was frustrated at a couple of points, but it was still fun as heck. I made effective use of a fart bubble at one point, which was nice.
...and I accomplished my goal of getting my K/D above Dmill's. Not by much, but some. In a couple of the early matches I actually had positive K/D's. Of course, that's before Wonder molested me on Higher Ground and Justin made swiss cheese of my mjolinor pantsuit. I think I was -8 on kills in that last match. That's when I decided I needed to study my tape.

My bull charge was ineffective against you. You seemed to have the upper hand in every contest. You'd seemingly be standing still, and I'd charge you, firing. Every time I'd get there and press the beat-down button, only to watch my guy crumple at your feet. Evidently you can press the smack-down button faster than I can. Of course, other times I'd be dead before I even got there.

| Maybe you have to be much higher to get ground kills in the banshee. I can tell you that I was killed more often than not with that thing while I was running around in those battles we played the other night.
Quo - I know what you mean about being confused on colors. I do that all the time. I'll see someone on the other team and hesitate b/c I was just that color in the last match or something. Its some sort of mental block for me I guess!!

Oh well. I just need to play this game more. I was frustrated at a couple of points, but it was still fun as heck. I made effective use of a fart bubble at one point, which was nice. | My brother and I sat down and watched the Big Team Battle film you had uploaded.
Here are the suggestions we have:
- Be more aware of what weapon the enemy has and maximize your weapons strengths over that.
In the opening battle of that film, you find me in a river and you tag me a few times witht he battle rifle. Your aim's not bad, but you couldn't kill me before I disengaged. You saw which way I was going and went to re-engage. But I was dual-weilding, which means I'm much more effective close up. So you died after we met again because you charged in at me maximizing my killing potential while minimizing yours.
- Throw more grenades
Any time you're using a singlewield weapon you should be primed to throw grenades. Especially when you die. The "death grizzo" is your best friend.
- The Sniper Rifle
This is a very different animal than the battle rifle although it may not look it through the scope. Bullets take time to go all the way across the map. You have to account for the lag, it's not huge, but it's definitely there. I think most people fire to soon with the sniper rifle. I think you should work on tracking more. The best way is to think about your target's path. Where they're going and how fast. That way your crosshair follows their movements and minimizes the chance of missing. My brother thinks you should leave it alone for the time being.
- Pulse your gun for the win
If you have any fully automatic weapon, you should have two mental firing modes. The first is for close range. This should be holding down the trigger all the way and you will absolutely tear into people. But if they're an more than 10-15 feet away you should be firing in burst mode. Pulse the trigger and you'll be a heck of a lot more accurate. You aren't firing as many bullets, but more of your bullets are hitting their target.
Personally, I don't think you're that bad. You've got the requisite skills, they just need a bit of honing.
Upload more films, I'll watch 'em. In fact, we can bypass the 1 person limit of the theatre and just start a chat on XBL and then watch in our own lobbies.
