Halo 3 Sunny Shots
showed up on GamerReports yesterday. Looks to be in-game shots showing off the lighting...
Left them in full-size glory.

The second image looks great. The tree in the first pic looks kind of fugly, but that might not be final.

Nice. Lookin' pretty good. Is it set to run at 60fps or 30fps?

12 fps. Bungie is trying something different with Halo 3, they're going backwards.
No details have been released, aside from a 60fps 1080p rumor that doesn't hold much water.

The FPS stuff cracks me up. I know it's a big deal in some games. I guess I'm more about playability than visuals. The pics look good to me.
I'm pretty sure the respawn screen will look good in either 30 FPS or 60 FPS.

I was just thinking the same thing, if I only got killed face up then I could enjoy it some. Since I allways get beatdown from behind by some bunny rabbit with a sniper rifle on the other side of the map.... I'm sure the dirt will look the same from an inch or two.

Being a PC gamer at heart, framerate is key. None of this "I need my 200 FPS" to win. No, the difference between 30fps and 60fps is huge. It makes it a lot easier to predict a shot, make movements, etc.
So in actuality, it is the playability that is being affected. I'd take slightly lower resolution with a faster framerate over a high resolution, slow framerate game. That's the thing I don't understand, the resolution of 720p is basically 1280x720 if you were to play on a computer monitor. That's not a fantastic resolution. So why can't they run it at a stead 60 frames? 1920x1080 is a different story.
I have a real big frustration for games not running at 60fps. And especially with the power of the 360, I am surprised more games are not. It was real disappointing when I realized that Rainbow6 wasn't 60fps. The Unreal Engine has always been incredibly efficient and very workable at said framerates.
