Flamethrower in Halo 3?

Ok, ok, so the geniuses in The Halo 2 Forum are just too smart for my old and decrepid trolling ways. So, we'll bring the real subject about. The members of the mob of angry peasants have been trying every imaginable combination of words to try and find the stats images used for weapons. At first, we came across the Mongoose/ATV, and then the Assault rifle. This lead us to believe that these were leftovers from Halo 2's alpha days.

Then, we came across the Spiker. this was never in Halo 2. We realised - This is all of Halo 3's data piled into Halo 2's, for whatever reason.

So we searched. We've reasoned that anything that has an image that isnt used in halo 2 will be present in one form or another in halo 3.

The biggest one we found is perhaps The Flame Thrower, which has about convinced me the flame thrower will be making an appearance in halo 3.

We also found the Chaingun featured in the Vidoc, and the covenant counterpart. However, their name as "turret" is curious, as this lends to the rumour that they are, indeed, ripped off the back of 'hogs. However, i'm more inclined to think that it is either a deployable machine gun, or a big gun that the chief can run around with.

So far, we've been unable to find the tripmine, spike nade or spartan laser, but feel free to try any possible filenames yourselff to see if you can find anything.

Very cool. It's like going through their trash... only it is their webserver! I'm guessing they have it there for a reason. That would be a fun weapon to use. How was it in Halo PC?

I played with the flamethrower in Halo PC. It was OK. Definitely a short-range weapon, though. Probably most useful in Objective-type matches (guarding the flag in CTF, etc).
