Any word on how many maps for Halo3?

Just wondering if anyone knows:

1) How many new multiplayer maps are being released this "Spring" for H2?

2) How many MP maps are they going to release with H3?

and

3) Will the 21 old maps and the new H2 maps be compatible with H3?

Halo 3 only needs 1 map.....Hang Em' High....

No one knows, and Bungie will never tell you about the Halo 3 maps. You can go ahead and ask them, go ahead, I dare you... but they'll just laugh at you while you stand down on street level and they, up in their gold lined watchtowers, throw paper balls made of shredded Halo 3 documents and glue down at you from above.

As for the Halo 2 maps, not announced yet. 7 maybe?

It would be nice if Halo 3 included all the Halo 2 maps as well, although I don't know if that is going to happen, at least not at launch.

And, as much as I love Hang em High, I don't think it will work without fall damage the same way as we remember it working.

True. Maybe H3 will have fall damage as an option. I can dream.....

Fall damage is the X button. If you press it as you are falling you will not experience fall damage.

Give the people the choice!

Depending on any big gameplay changes, they may keep a great deal of H2 maps. However, I would hope they only offer a few prize maps from H2 and many new maps. I have a feeling this is what they'll do.

It's true about Hang Em High. Fall damage MADE that map. I would still love to play on it though.
