Buy Crackdown & get invited to the Halo 3 Beta?

Hmmmm...

I don't quite understand how the slots allocated for the Halo 3 beta, but I also don't pretend to know how many slots there are.

This is from this months issue of Gamepro magazine, in an ad for Crackdown, look in the lower right hand corner....

that's very odd. I can't imagine they would open up THAT many slots especially considering how many people probably already signed up for the beta!

Maybe VidGuy will pipe up on this one. It's probably nothing more than a marketing ploy, IMHO.

It may be one of the best marketing ideas for a 360 game yet. If that is in all the ads it's going to sell units based on that alone, especially if people think the Beta invites will be hard to get.

I played a lot of this game at the event, and it didn't do it for me in the least. Some people though really liked it.

Yeah... I'll check out the demo mid-January. After watching some of the videos, it just didn't seem to jump out at me like it used to.

It says limited something something about the beta. I bet only the first x,000 copies will have beta invites. Remember though... not everyone who registered for the beta online will get in.

If you bought the game, got the invite, and then traded it in you'd probably be out $30 or so. I imagine that invites will be sold on eBay and all this too. Think MS will put a stop to that? Can they?

What do I care, I'm already banned!
