Sign up for Halo 3 Beta Test Starting 12/4

Starting Monday, Dec. 4, visit http://www.halo3.com, those of you in North America will be able to register for the opportunity to be one of the select members to join the Halo 3 public beta program, scheduled to kick off in spring 2007. This is the first path of entry to participate in the program. Through the resulting feedback, Bungie Studios will be able to further refine and hone the end result of Halo 3.

The Xbox Live multiplayer public beta, which is a pre-release version of the multiplayer experience of “Halo 3,” is scheduled for availability in spring 2007 exclusively on Xbox 360. This beta also represents an opportunity for gamers to participate in the development of “Halo 3.” Through the resulting feedback, Bungie Studios will be able to further refine and hone the end result of “Halo 3.”

So this press release makes it sound like the "Public Beta Test" may in fact be a "Selective Public Beta Test" possibly limited to North America only?

I was under the impression it would be global and all inclusive.

Yes, I just read about this at IGN. They made a good point though... it probably won't cost any money, since it is selective.

That website is going to get slammed. I'll have to wake up at 4 a.m. and try and register... damn you West Coast.

Each region of the world is making their own announcment. You probably only saw the NA one. So if you live in a different region, check with your local game publications or Xbox.com for more details.

Don't set your alarm clocks. Don't fire up 12 browsers on auto-refresh. Nowhere does it say that it's first-come-first-served!!!

Yeah, I don't think it's up yet. I wonder if it will coincide with the commercial though, which airs between 8:50 and 9:20 p.m. EST on ESPN. Maybe they're just trying to get it up by then.

I've been checking on the hour just to see - I simply can't wait.
