Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: Austin, TX Age: 25 | I used the direct link that Wonder provided and signed up. I'm on the school computers, but they don't have the most recent version of Flash so I couldn't get there by going to Halo3.com and clicking through.

There's been a lot of rampant speculation going on today regarding the Halo 3 Beta and the sign-up page for it. Going through the now live Halo3.com is the only way in which you are guaranteed to have actually registered. Do not trust direct links to the sign-up form, only access it through Halo3.com.
If you've already registered via the direct link that some of our more rabid fans found earlier today, you may well have a perfectly valid registration, but from here on out you should only access the sign-up form through Halo3.com.
This is phase one. There will be more ways to enter the beta program, so don't panic. We will try to ensure that everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to do so. The beta will be a world-wide affair, and every region that is elligible to participate, will. | So, umm... Should I try to find a computer with IE and the most recent version of Flash and re-register? Or wait for the other phases to register?

I'm confused. | If you have already registered, and it's recognized by the system, when you try to sign in again all your info will be there already. The page I posted ( http://halo3.com/index2.html) is just the page AFTER the flash page. I was having serious trouble on the mac with it in Safari, and was only able to get through on Firefox by skipping the Flash page. | |

That being said, every Beta I've ever signed up for I've lost the chance on. If my streak continues, I fully expect to lose out on this too, and my life will once again be reduced to re-reading all the Halo novels just to quench my thirst. | |

That's pretty crafty if you ask me. That eliminates the possibility of people lying to get into the beta. And as far as sexiness, will they turn on the Live camera when you game and secretly photograph you?  No more underwear gaming sessions for me!
I've only been in one beta and that was SOCOM 3. But that game was trash compared to it's predecessors. | |
