Sign up for Halo 3 Beta Test Starting 12/4

The site will let you register:

"For a chance to participate in the Halo 3 Beta."

That's what it says after you register. You'll have to sign in with your passport account, verify you're above 18 and blah blah blah, and then you fill out a questionairre with your name and address. After you submit it, it says "Thank you for registering your chance to participate in the Halo 3 Beta."

I think this enters you into the selection process, it does not guarantee you will be a Beta Tester.

I can't access the site at school or at home. At home I've updated to the newest flash version and have tried firefox, safari and camino.

I'm frustrated not because I can't access the site today, but because I can't access the site at all, with all the various computers I have access to. And I haven't been able to find a remedy yet.

Firefox didn't work for me either. I tried installing the new flash and it still didn't work. IE worked fine, but it told me to check back on 12/4/2006.

Hey guys.... step away from the keyboard. Take a deep breath. It's NOT first-come-first-served. You won't get in any easier by being the first to sign-up. It will officially open this evening, so I'd suggest doing it later tonight, or even over the next few days.

This is just the first of many ways to get into the beta. Hammering at sites to get to the sign-up first will NOT increase your chances of getting in.

So all enjoy your afternoon/evening. Watch the trailer and sign up at your leisure! Let the other n00bs break the server, and cripple the internet. Just hope they don't mess up my online GoW time tonight! :P

Sure... how about Halo3.com? Head there now...using IE, and sign up. I propped the site early JUST for you guys. Honest..I did.

Well it sounds good anyways. So head there now if you like. We propped it early and you can get a head start before the hordes show up.

Fellas fellas, you're just registering for your chance to participate in the Halo 3 Beta, they aren't going to close the registration process on you, no worries. I understand the stress though, if I don't make this Beta I think I will quit gaming, as it will be too hard going on knowing people are playing this before me.

For now though,

1) Start here: http://halo3.com/index2.html

2) Read the disclaimers and "click there to continue."

3) Choose your location/language

4) Sign into your Windows Live ID when it prompts you to

5) Complete the requested info, and submit

Certain pages in the process seem to be glitchy, sometimes they load, sometimes they don't. They seem to be getting hammered at different times. If it doesn't work now, try later. If it doesn't work then, try the next day. Don't stress Vidguy out, Friday night in the room with Rhino was enough for at least 7 days!

LOL..not to derail the thread, but that was pricless. Rhino was worth the "price of admission" playing on Friday night.

I just hope nobody recorded all the "I love you man..." statements from the Rhino-dude!

Hey Vidguy, I am curious. I had to do the "overseer" Live ID on my account(because I is a youngling). Should I use the overseer Live ID or mine?

BTW, I signed up for the Shadowrun beta using the overseer ID.

I knew that you were the wrong guy to call...and that you would use all everything that I said out of context and misquote me...perfect chief editor.

I also knew that when I woke up freezing, my covers scattered across the bed, my lady sleeping on the couch, my head throbbing with flash bulb images of my evenings insanity pusling though my sodden brain pan, that my alter ego had once again slipped out of the cage.
